POPHAM BEACH STATE PARK

Popham Beach is our family's personal favorite.
This is one cool beach. With wide beaches even at high tide, the
lowering tide reveals endless rivlets and pools for small kids to play
in as well as a sand bar that runs to an off-shore island. At low
tide you can walk to the island and climb to the top for a fantastic
view of the Atlantic Ocean and several lighthouses. GREAT FOR
KIDS!!! Also check out Fort Popham where you can climb the ruins on an
old fort and get an ice cream cone or sandwich at the general store.
